SAN ANTONIO– USAA has announced Tami Cabaniss as the company’s new Chief Human Resources Officer. Reporting to President and CEO Wayne Peacock, Cabaniss will lead the company’s talent strategy and enhance USAA’s culture, rooted in service to the military community and their families.
Cabaniss, in a new role, will lead USAA’s talent acquisition, talent development, pay and benefits programs, and employee support services. Her appointment is part of USAA’s ongoing commitment to building a strong workplace culture that values service excellence.

An Experienced Leader with a Proven Track Record
Cabaniss is an accomplished human resources executive with more than two decades of experience. She has a track record of assisting leading companies in developing high-performing teams, improving the employee experience, and increasing the impact of the human resources function. Her extensive experience includes leading global human capital strategies, transforming pay and benefits programs, and creating more efficient and effective hiring practices.
Before joining USAA, Cabaniss spent nine years at PayPal, where she served as Senior Vice President. Her prior experience includes senior-level roles at Hewlett-Packard and Fox Interactive Media. Throughout her career, Cabaniss has been recognized for her ability to drive significant improvements in HR practices and employee engagement.
